Peaches arrived in Massachusetts today! We were right in the middle of circle time when we heard the doorbell. The kids were very excited to open the box and see what was inside. Today we all got acquainted with Peaches and introduced her to our playroom and childcare. We spent most of the afternoon deciding if Peaches is a boy or a girl???? What do you all think?

    Tuesday, October 7, 2008

We decided Peaches is a girl. The two girls here having been calling her Peach. We took her to the bus stop this morning. We brought her green jacket and blanket because of the cold MA mornings! Later at circle time we talked about Smokey the Bear and Peaches told us she has yet to meet him! We read Peaches' books for storytime. They are becoming our favorites!

    Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Today we took Peaches with us to pick out pumpkins for our projects next week. It was really warm today and Peaches enjoyed riding in the double stroller, even though she was by herself. Peaches has become best friends with our stuffed Dinosaur, Dre. Everywhere Peaches goes, you will see Dre on her tail.

    Thursday, October 9, 2008

Today Peaches participated in our fire drill. She was a little confused (as were the children). Although, she was a pro when it came to stop, drop, and roll. We all learned the importance of always being aware of two exits from every building. Peaches only knew one but we all taught her our evacuation plan. When we had a surprise drill in the afternoon she did much better.

    Friday, October 10, 2008

Peaches will no longer be with us after today and we are all very sad about that. Mrs. A will be purchasing some special gifts for Peaches at the next stop. We will all miss Peaches and can't wait to hear that she's gotten to her next destination safely. Enjoy her company! We sure did.

The children arrive and see the box on the table. We open the box and right away the children pick up Peaches and head to the playroom. They had Peaches sit in a chair and food. They make Peaches chicken, bread and strawberries. Peaches must of been hungry as she ate everything! At nap time she got to sleep on a mat. Peaches got a good rest in. In the afternoon it was more playing with the children.

    Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Today Peaches got to help the children paint pumpkins. We were very careful not to get paint on Peaches. We went on a walk and saw Halloween decorations. They were very pretty! Peaches thought the ghosts were a little scary but the children told Peaches they were not real.

    Wednesday, October 22, 2008

A lot of our friends are out sick today. So a quiet day today. We played with blocks and Playdough. We played the McDonalds Playdough and made food. We had a lot of fun. We also drew with markers and colored Halloween pictures.

Today Peaches colored with Caitie, Ally, and Logan. Tonight we are going to a book signing at a local book store for Steve Doocy’s (Fox News Channel) new book, Tales from the Dad Side. We are hoping to get a picture of Mr. Doocy with Peaches. (Wish me luck!)

Last night we did get our picture of Peaches with Steve Doocy! Mr. Doocy told us that his daughter had a teddy bear that traveled all over the United States too! Peaches really enjoyed meeting Mr. Doocy. Peaches will now rest up for the weekend.

    Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Peaches and Ally returned this morning well rested. Everyone brought a special friend today because we are having a “Good-Bye Party” for Peaches. Peaches couldn’t decide if he wanted a vanilla or chocolate cupcake – so he had one of each! We also read Teddy Bear stories and played hide and seek with Peaches. He is a great hider! Tonight Peaches will sleepover at Philip’s house.

    Thursday, November 20, 2008

Peaches had a great time at Philip’s house last night - He had free reign of their house! Today Peaches is packing up his belongings and giving lots of good-bye hugs and kisses to his new friends here at Ms. Dawn’s Family Child Care in Odenton, Maryland. He will board the Teddy Bear Express to return back home to New York tomorrow. We have had a wonderful time with Peaches and wish him a wonderful journey home – just in time for Thanksgiving!
