Trish - Trishs Tiny Tots - Texas

Thursday, February 22, 2007

Today when Logan, Vincent and I got back from the drs office we were greated with a surprise of a big box. Logan grabbed Tex and started pawing open the box. Tex had a rose for Honeybear and was eager to give it to her. Poor Macie who was so looking forward to Honey bears arrival was out sick today and after watching the chaos of a neighbors house on fire, we decided to send Honeybear to Macie's house next door, to make her feel better after having to have Mrs Trish explain a few times that Macie couldnt keep me.....I do need to go back to Ms Audra.

Bethanee and Ethan arrived early today to great me with hugs and kisses.. all the parents were eager to meet me, I was shocked to see such a big fuss over this little bear from Iowa. It was a very light day not many people were at Mrs Trishs house. So all the kids took turns cuddling with me.

Logan has been making me his new friend alot. He watched his mommy make a cake for cubscouts and I caught him stealing icing when she wasn't looking. Later that night he set me up on a romatic dinner with Tex...he's so dreamy .....we also went ot pick up a few souvenirs from Texas, Tex even gave me his t-shirt with the Texas flag so I can take home with me. Logan made me a cake out of blocks they looked like a castle and later this weekend he set up a bed for us and I think Mrs Trish caught us all sleeping on the floor.....

We recieved Honey in last night's mail. My daycare children were gone for the day but my own children were home and very excited. I burst their bubble by telling them that we had to wait for the daycare children but they said started making plans for Honey for tomorrow. Can't wait to see what they think we are doing. Have a great one!

Honey is saying "Good bye" to some of her friends today, since they do not come to daycare on Friday's, and Honey will be leaving over the weekend. She is sad, but we did remind her that she will be meeting more friends next week.

Honey is getting packed up and ready to go. We packed information about Virginia and some pictures in the box with her, so she has something else to read on her trip. We filled the box with lots of love for her on her journey. We all enjoyed having Honey here with us!

At 9:30 this morning I saw the mail truck pull up out front. The children saw it too and ran to the door. The mailman did not even to get to ring the doorbell. The children had the door open and they were out on the porch, arms outstretched for the box he was carrying. They knew that Honey Bear had arrived! I cut the tape on the box immediately and Honey Bear lept right out of there! She was happy to see the children and they were very happy to see her. Brady was sure that she was very hungry and ran to the kitchen to get her something to eat. Every one got to hold her and then we explored the box. Miss CeCe and her daycare children sent us such lovely things. We all love to blow bubbles and can't wait to go outside to use the sidewalk chalk! Playdough is a favorite at Nana's Nest also. That you very much, we love it all. We have not had time to look through all the other things that came with Honey Bear because we had a new little boy coming at 10 to check out our daycare. We will save them for tomorrow. (The new little boys grandmother was very impressed with out Traveling Bear Project and signed him up right on the spot. He begins on Friday!) Right now Honey Bear is napping with the children.

Wednesday night Honey went home with Brady to spend the night. Brady was anxious to introduce Honey to Curious George. They became fast friends.

A Teddy Bear party was held at Nana's Nest on Thursday with Honey Bear as the guest of honor. Seven children and nine bears attended. Honey got to meet Lilly. Lilly was a Traveling Bear from Nana's Nest last year. The bears quickly became friends and were happy to discuss the many daycares that they have visited. Mnay pictures were taken and will be added to Honey's picture album. Kaitlyn took Honey Bear along home with her Thursday night to meet her family. After a good night's sleep they were back to daycare. Kaitlyn arrives at daycare at 5:45 AM so Honey was still very sleepy. A big breakfast of pancakes perked her up.

Today, Honey Bear woke early to find that it was a beautiful day. Everyone played outside all morning. Honey enjoyed going down the slide and swinging with Caleb and Kaleigh!

Monday, April 23, 2007

The children returned to daycare to find a well rested Honey bear. The day was spent encouraging Caleb, Faith and Kaleigh with their therapy sessions.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Today we checked our large map to see where Honey Bear has been and where she is going next. The children are sad that Honey bear will soon be leaving.

Wednesday, April 25, 2007

Today it rained all day so we had to play inside. We played with Thomas the train and did art projects. The children all said goodbye to Honey Bear as they left daycare today. They are all going to miss her very much, especially Brady!

Thursday, April 26, 2007

Honey has been packed and is taking some treats to Miss Jamie and her daycare children. We will miss you Honey. Be a good little bear!

Honey arrived on Monday afternoon. The kids woke up from nap time to see a large box in the middle of the living room floor. They were so excited because they knew what was inside. We opened the box and took Honey out and introduced her to T.J. (Bearytales) . The kids all took turns holding her and then we sat down to enjoy the Teddy Graham snacks sent to us form Nana's nest. After snack, we looked at some of the other things in Honey's box. We read her favorite book "Bear Can't Sleep" and looked at her photo album.

Tuesday I only have 1 infant here so Honey spent the day cuddled up to Reece. T.J. read her a story and they also went for a walk outside. We will keep you updated as to what Honey does today. Thank you Nana's Nest for the great snacks and gifts. The kids will enjoy the playdough and sidewalk chalk very much. I personally will enjoy the window clings. Thanks to all who have made this a great activity.

Honey bear enjoyed her stay here at Learning Tree Child Care. It has been a very busy week here. We visited the library where we read "Teddy Bear Picnic" and then on Friday, we had our own Teddy Bear picnic complete with peanut butter and honey jam sandwiches. She will be on her way home today. I am packing her box as we speak and double checking to make sure everything is there before I send her off. The kids are sad to see her go, but they are excited about sending the treats and gifts back to Iowa. We hope she arrives safely. Thank you for sharing her with us.
